Tjaka is made up of a duo of brothers who reside in North Brisbane. Proud descendants of the Djabera Djabera tribe in the Western Australian Kimberley, the freshly formed Tjaka fuse modern technology with ancient sounds to create a contemporary indigenous experience like no other. Tjaka draws musical inspiration from various genres such as Reggae, Hip Hop and World Electronic music using them as channels to introduce the didjeridoo in a way that has not been seen or heard before. With the inclusion of instruments such as the Didjeribone, the Facebass, and fiery vocals, Tjaka’s aim is to contribute high-energy performances to audiences inciting dance whilst still connecting to them both spiritually and emotionally. Members include Jake Fabila (Vocals, Guitar, Didjeribone), Geoff Fabila (Vocals, Facebass, Didjeribone, Ableton Push 2), Guest Felix Fogarty (Guitar).
