Pearl is the carnie queen dancing diva that will definitely keep you on your toes. This award winning faboriginal with a well refined mix of manipulation and dance will transport the audience into the weirdest places of pearls mind. Politucally minded perfomance art tong in cheek fun that always entertains as well as educates and is never afraid to go there. Pearl is a proud Aboriginal woman. From an early age she always wanted to perform. She attended the Aboriginal Centre for the Performing Arts (ACPA) from 2010 to 2014 and graduated with a Certificate III & IV in Diploma in Performing Arts. Pearl has performed at leading venues including The Sydney Opera House, Queensland Performing Arts Centre, Brisbane Powerhouse, Darwin Entertainment Centre, and the Judith Wright Centre for The Contemporary Arts. Her skill set includes Dancing, Group Acrobatics, Hoola Hooping and bottle walking. As an independent artist, Pearl has explored different art forms and has recently fell in love with circus after completing the BLAKflip program with Circus Oz as well as the company’s Strong Women Program. Pearl is a current of the Casus circus ensamble performing in award winning Chasing Smoke; australias first all indigenous contempoary circus. Pearl also has been awarded the Indigenous Australian Circus Artist of 2019 by the Australian Circus Festival. Chasing Smoke is Pearls’ first circus show and she wants to continue various artistic pursuits including exploring circus and creating new works by combining her knowledge of dance, theatre and circus.
